Lahnasenkoski Power Plant at Hiitolanjoki River

Hiitolanjoki is a border river, of which 8-9 km is on the Finnish side in Rautjärvi. The old hydropower plant in Lahnasenkoski is the middle of three power plants. You can get there by car from road 6 at Änkilänmäki or on foot from the Ritakoski power plant. From the Lahnasenkoski parking area, a path starts in the direction of Ritakoski and down the path, which turns into an elongated tree. Along the power plant dam you can reach the other side of the river with a barbecue shed and an outdoor toilet. The area is owned by the South Karelian Recreation Area Foundation. Free.
